The rising mercury has taken its toll on the country, especially in the Terai region. As informed by RSS, two persons died of excessive heat in Saptari district on Monday (June 8, 2015).
64-year Sanjha Devi Sardar of Shambhunath Municipality-9 and Lekhman BK, 45, of Neta Batase VDC-9 in Solukhumbu district have been identified as the deceased.
According to family members of Sardar, she died after falling unconscious due to excessive heat at her home. BK died after falling unconscious all of sudden in a bus when he was heading towards Dharan from Katari, reports the District Police Office, Saptari.
It’s been learn that trade and business activities in the district headquarters, Rajbiraj, have been affected due to excessive heat while movement of people in markets has decreased due to the same.
