The cold wave in Lahan, Siraha has claimed the lives of two people. The district has been suffering the blunt of cold weather lately.

The two victims of the cold wave are 60-year old Bauba Sada from Khushipur -8, and 50-year old Ashadevi Mandal from Bidyanagar-2. Reports say the chills have been increasing since the last week.

As a result, people complaining about cold, pneumonia, fever and respiratory problems have thronged the hospitals in the district.

Children and elderly people have been most affected by the declining temperature.
