Former minister Shyam Sundar Gupta was arrested on Monday (September 5, 2016) on the charge of threatening a woman with abduction if she failed to provide him Rs 5 million. A Police Inspector has been arrested for his alleged involvement in this case for assisting Gupta to threaten the woman with abduction.
