FIFA’s decision to hold the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar is drawing more and more criticism as more and more allegations of everything from bribery and financial mismanagement to slavery and deadly work conditions pile up. 900 workers have died during construction for the Qatar world cup, and some estimate that this number will rise to 4,000 before they’re finished. Nepal finally got the chance to see the most coveted FIFA World Cup trophy on December 21, 2013, Saturday. President Dr Ram Baran Yadav unveiled the trophy at an event that took place at the Dasharath Stadium.
Coca-Cola in Nepal, today released the official Coca-Cola Anthem of the FIFA World Cup 2014. Titled ‘The World is Ours’ –the anthem brings the music of Brazil to the world and captures the local rhythms of samba, ballet funk and techno brega featuring vocals from Brazilian born singer David Correy and sounds from Monobloco, a Brazilian street band.
