But no matter what they go through, they are glad that they finally found a place where they belong, a place that they can call their own.
The number of Bhutanese refugees leaving for the United States as part of the ongoing third country resettlement reached 50,000 on January 30, Monday.
The resettlement program launched by UNHCR four years ago for Bhutanese refugees from camps in Jhapa and Morang districts of eastern Nepal has till date resettled more than 50,000 refugees to the third countries.
