Sadbhaw – Nepali le Nepali lai is an initiative which has been launched with the objective of assisting the flood victims of the badly affected Bardiya, Kailali and Darchula area. It’s a collaborative movement between a youth-led volunteering platform The Gen Nep – Nation First and Television Artist Federation of Nepal (TAFON).
The campaign plans to raise funds through a string of fundraisers in various schools and shopping malls, musical concerts and flash mob programs in Kathmandu. Both cash and kind will collected and handed over to the victims in the flood-affected areas of Far Western Development Region of Nepal.
The fundraising is scheduled to begin from July 6. The organizers are also developing fund collecting mechanisms through SMS systems.
At the end of the 10 day campaign, the fund collected will be handed over to Nepal Red-Cross Society. “We are handing over the funds to Nepal Red-Cross Society since it isn’t possible for us to physically go to these places. Through the Nepal Red-Cross Society, the funds will reach people in Bardiya, Kailali and Darchula,” said Devashish Sharma, Media and Communications Coordinator for the campaign.
Further details on the process of donating will soon be updated on TexasNepal.
