It’s been ages since supreme rock music blasted the stereo and gave music lovers reasons to rejoice life about. But it still remains among us through classic rock. And paying homage to such a golden era is Golden Moments Tribute To Rock (T2R).
From January 13 till 28, Kathmandu resonated with classic rock numbers and rock and roll music during weekends. As part of T2R, several concerts were held at various venues around the town where several local bands revived evergreen hit tunes from international artistes such as Eric Clapton, Bob Dylan, Pink Floyd, Police and Elvis Presley among others. The Heartbreakers and Dinesh and The Usual Suspects were among the group that rocked the stage with great covers.
Organised by DMI Entertainment, the event, in its fourth year, took it to a whole new level to entertainment the audience. As its final leg, it presented one of a kind homage to the King of Rock N’ Roll through Tribute To Elvis! Tribute To Elvis which featured the internationally famed Elvis Presley Tribute Artiste- Tom Bartlett.
Bartlett showcased his mastery over Elvis impersonation and performed his smash hits in Pokhara as well as in the valley. His show in Pokhara took place on January 26 at Mount Kailash Resort whereas he performed twice in the capital- at Moksh on January 27 and at Hotel Soaltee Crowne Plaza on January 28. Opening for Bartlett at both the concerts with generic classic rock songs were veteran band Prism.
