On the occasion of Swor Samrat Narayan Gopal’s 23rd death anniversary, a program was organised by Narayan Gopal Sangeet Kosh at the late singer’s residence today Mangsir 19, 2070 (December 4, 2013) in Maharajgunj.

In his memory, some upcoming as well as renowned artistes performed some of his golden hits, to name a few Jhuma Limbu, Shailesh Singh and Azar Jungam.

One of the highlights of the event was veteran singer/composer Deepak Jungam being granted rupees five lakh.

Narayan Gopal Sangeet Kosh was formed with the objective of helping personalities involved in different aspects of the Nepali music industry, conserving and keeping records of old music, and honouring artistes who have contributed immensely to Nepali music.

Nepal Kala Sankskriti Bikash Kendra also organised a Shraddhanjali Tatha Sangeetik Karyakram.
