Singer Prem Rai’s solo album “Rajinama” was launched by Nepali Congress Kathmandu district working committee chairman Bhimsen Das Pradhan at a special function on February 9 (Magh 27). Vice President of National Forum of Photo Journalists (NFPJ) Hari Gopal Pradhan, renowned media personality Nawaraj Lamsal as well as singer Pravesh Man Shakya were among the high profile guests present at the event.
Released and marketed under the banner of D. R. Music, the album consists of a total of six songs: Rajinama, Prakritile, Ke Thiyen, Aankha Nasalu, Aago Bali, and Laagyo Bhane. The set features lyrics from D. R., Laxmi Prasad Ghimire, Abuddhaya Khanal, Suraj Thapa and Nityananda Sharma while Arjun Pokharel, Min Bista, Purushottam Neupane ad Suraj Thapa have provided music.
A graduate of Bachelor’s in Music and currently a student of Master’s in Music, Rai is indifferent to all genres. Along with singing, the newcomer is also interested in acting. In fact, he can be seen in the lead role of the movie Rampur, in documentary Good Student And Bad Student as well as in some music videos. However, music will be his main priority. Rai intends to make his mark in Nepali music industry with his debut effort.
