After a very tough competition, Nepal has finally made it to the final defeating Afghanistan in the first semifinal of match of the SAFF U-19 Championship on Thursday (August 27, 2015).
Nepal’s 3-2 goal victory against Afghanistan secured its place in the finals. The match played at the ANFA Complex ground in Satdobato, Lalitpur.
The first half of the match saw Nepal take 2-0 lead against Afghanistan, both goals scored by striker Anjan Bista at 34th minute and through penalty at 39th minute.
Sunil Bal for Nepal scored the third goal at 53rd minute of the match through free kick.
Nepal also conceded two goals in the match. Afghanistan’s first goal at 50th minute was through an own goal by Ananta Tamang. Afghanistan made 3-2 score line with Mehdi Rezayee’s 72-minute goal.
