Nepal Unites, an informal group of civilian-activists that started as a Facebook movement, is gaining popularity among Nepalis around the globe. They have been organizing events to raise common Nepali citizens’ voice against the political instability in the country demanding accountability from the leaders who have been incompetent and dishonest with their reponsibilities. They recently organized an event to clean/paint the Bagmati bridge that connects Katmnadu and Lalitpur. Several volunteered and contributed financially as well for the cleaning and painting of the bridge. They raised about NRS 30,0000 and completely changed the looks of the bridge in about 3 hours of volunteer work.
