Nepal’s dream of winning SAG Women football gold received a big blow after it faced a thumping 4-0 defeat at the hand of South Asian power house India in Shillong on Monday.
Two goals in the second half shattered Nepal’s comeback bid after went into break with a goal deficit.
Kamala Devi netted twice including the opener in 32nd minute and 56th minutes. Bala Devi scored the third goal in 71st minute while Ashalata Devi stamped the victory with fourth in 88th minute.
This is the second consecutive defeat against India in the final of SAG women’s football introduced in 2010 edition in Dhaka, Bangladesh.
