Nepal defeated Uganda by 5 wickets and secured the champions title in the final of ICC World Cricket League Division 3 today at the National Stadium, Hamilton.
Uganda won the toss and elected to bat first where Nepal stopped Uganda to 151 runs in 50 overs. Nepal then chased down the target scoring 153 runs in 39.2 overs losing 5 wickets. Pradeep Airee and Sharad Veswarkar played outstanding role with their half centuries to promote Nepal to Division 2 League.
Nepal already secured its promotion to the ICC Cricket World Cup Qualifier 2014 after their final group matches of the Pepsi ICC World Cricket League (WCL) Division 3 defeating Italy by eight wickets on Saturday.
