Nepal ended the ICC World Cricket League Division Four with cent percent win results, defeating the USA in the final by eight wickets at the Kinrara Academy Oval, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, on Monday.
Nepal played 28.0 overs and made 147 runs loosing two wickets, easily meeting the target posted by the USA. Gyanendra Malla scored 66 runs while Subhas Khakurel made 40 runs.
The captain of the team Paras Khadka pocketed 25 runs, while Anil Mandal bagged only three runs in the game. Thirteen runs were added by extras.
Electing to bat after winning the toss the USA was all out in 48.1 overs posting a target of 146 for Nepal. Basanta Regmi took five wickets while Shakti Gauchan took two to restrict USA from posting higher target. Binod Das, Sanjam Regmi and Paras Khadka grabbed a wicket each.
Nepal had also defeated the USA by 32 runs in the tournament on last Friday.
Nepal after five consecutive wins has secured a place in the WCL Division 3 tournament, slated from April 28 to May 5 in Bermuda.
