The Narayangadh-Muglin Road Project has decided to block traffic from the road for four hours a day due to the ongoing expansion works.
The obstruction of the road have been taking place from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm everyday since December 22. Hence, the road project has appealed to the drivers to use alternative routes during the time of the blockade. As told by the Project Engineer Shiva Khanal, it has not been decided yet till when the obstruction would continue.
According to Chitwan’s Chief District Officer (CDO) Narayan Prasad Bhatta, the Project had initially proposed to impose the obstruction for eight hours a day, but the District Administration Office slacked the period considering the difficulties the travellers were likely to face.
Now, according to the latest reports, tourist buses plying on the Narayangadh-Muglin road stretch have been allowed access to the road undergoing construction. Tourist buses or any vehicles carrying tourists have been asked to inform the local authorities for access as told by CDO Bhatta. The police will be escorting the buses carrying green number plates along the road.
