Locals of Kapan are demonstrating on Saturday morning against the murder of Harka Bahadur Diyali, the proprietor of a Kapan-based Mata Mankamana jewellery shop.
Diyali was killed by a motorcycle-borne unidentified gang on Friday evening (December 23).
Locals of Kapan have taken to the streets and halted the smooth flow of vehicles in a bid to protest against the government’s failure in providing security to its citizens.
This murder incident took place three weeks after the December 3 murder of Jujukaji Bajrachayra, an employee of Guna Jyasa Pasa, a Pulchowk-based jewellery shop.
Diyali was hit by bullet in the left temple and was pronounced dead at 7:30 pm while undergoing treatment at the Chabahil-based Om Hospital.
Police said, though it was termed a robbery bid, nothing was burgled from the store.
Roshan BK,17, the craftsman at the jewellery shop has been seriously injured in the accident.
