An accident that took place in Babarmahal on Wednesday (February 18, 2015) has claimed the life of one and injured another.
The deceased has been identified as Pravin Pradhan of Dharan, said police.
The incident took place after the motorcycle, which Rajiv Adhikari of Dhading was riding, was hit by the tourist bus, Ba 1 Pa 1166. Pravin, who was riding pillion died while undergoing treatment at Annapurna Neuro Hospital, said Traffic Police Division.
Injured driver Adhikari is undergoing treatment at Annapurna Neuro Hospital. According to police, the speeding motorcycle which went out of control after hitting a pedestrian, had been hit by the bus. Earlier, four people had been killed – 3 on October 13 and 1 on December 7 – at road accidents in Babarmahal.
