A plane of the Tara Air, which was flying from Pokhara to Jomsom of Mustang, was reported to be out of contact Wednesday (February 24, 2016) morning. Now other reports suggest the aircraft might have met an accident somewhere in Myagdi district.
According to administrative Officer of Civil Aviation Office, Pokhara Kashinath Poudel, the Twin-Otter plane had taken off at 7.50 in the morning and remained out of communication after some moments of its flight. It was carrying 20 passengers including two children and a team of three crew members, he informed.
Certain reports say SSP Mahendra Pokharel of Pokhara-based Gandaki Zonal Police Office said that the suspected crash site lies in Rupse Chhahari of Dana VDC in Myagdi district.
Confirmed details are yet to follow.
