Bollywood fame Manisha Koirala, who is currently undergoing chemotherapy for ovarian cancer, will stay put in the US for the next six months at least. Even though the actress has been responding well to the treatment, her manager Subroto Ghosh confirmed that she would be stationed in the U.S. for at least the next six months.
He also added that she was not being allowed to talk much. However, she has taken things very positively and her parents are said to be by her side.
On November 29, 2012, it was reported that Koirala had been diagnosed with cancer and was admitted to Jaslok Hospital in Mumbai. Later, the star flew to the US for her treatment upon discovering she had ovarian Cancer.
Known for her roles in Saudagar, Bombay, Khamoshi: The Musical and Lajja among others, Manisha Koirala has been able to create a mark of her own in Indian cinema and is the only actor of Nepali origin who’s managed to achieve such success in Bollywood. Here’s wishing the 42-year-old for great strength and spirit in fighting through this crisis. Hope she recovers soon.
