Kidnappers of Rastriya Banijya Bank Tax Officer Arrested

Four persons, who were seeking Rs 30 million in ransom, were arrested and made public in Biratnagar on Sunday (June 22, 2014). Among the detainees, who kidnapped Krishna Sah, a Tax Officer of Rastriya Banijya Bank at Rani, Biratnangar, two were Indian nationals.

Haresh Chaudhary, 36, of Tanmuna-8, Anil Chaudhary, 30, of Sonapur-9 of Sunsari district and Pradip Bishwas, 25, and Manoj Yadav, 24, of Bihar, India were arrested from Sahebgunj of Sunsari district as informed by Superintendent of Police, Morang, Bishwaraj Pokhrel.

The Tax Officer was abducted from Tankisinwari of Morang on June 4 when he was heading to his home in Duhabi from the office.

Sah, also a chartered accountant, was released from the captive of the abductors from Sahebgunj on Saturday night.

Six other abductors including two Indians are still at large, police said.
