On Saturday June 6, Kathmandu recorded the hottest day in the last three years with temperature soaring to 35 degree Celsius. The 35 degree Celsius is the new record in three years according to the Meteorological Forecasting Division.
“The temperature would remain unchanged in central and western region for some days. Kathmandu had recorded 35.2 degree Celsius on June 31 in 2012 while the temperature was 36.6 degree Celsius in May 1989” said Meteorologist Barun Poudel.
The temperature in Kathmandu city was 33.5 degree Celsius on Tuesday and Wednesday which had gone down to 32 degree Celsius on Friday.
