Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) is planning to organize a mega Bollywood event in the capital next year, around April 2012 to promote Nepal as a tourism destination for Indians and also attract Bollywood to shoot movies in the country.
NTB will be partnering with an Indian company from Mumbai, Thought Waves Media P. Ltd to organize ‘ Bollywood Night’ at the Dasharath Rangasala, Nepal’s national stadium.The mega event is expected to bring 200 people including Bollywood superstars, artists, technicians , directors and producers and hopes to attract more than 40,000 people.
According to NTB, more than 130,000 Indian tourists visited Nepal via air in the first 11 months of this year, comprising 26 percent of the total air arrival whereas nearly half a million Indians visited the country by land.
NTB also plans to honor Bollywood legend, late Dev Anad during the mega event for his contribution in promoting Nepal through his films.
