Hindu leader Shankaracharya from India inaugurated a 108 feet tall statue of Hindu God Shiva on June 21, 2010 at Sanga of Bhaktapur district 20 KM east of Kathmandu. It was constructed with donation from Kamal Jain, the proprietor of Hilltake Water Tanks.
The statue measures a total of 143 feet from top to bottom, however the length is 108 feet from the foot to the head of the statue. Below is a video reporting by Nepalnews.com about the inauguration of the statue.
