Democracy icon Sahana Pradhan passed away on Monday (September 22, 2014)at Vayodha Hospital in Balkhu at the age of 86. The senior leader of CPN (UML) and a prominent crusader of Nepali Communist Movement, who was undergoing treatment for neurological problems since long, breathed her last breath at 11:05 pm.
Due to deteriorating health condition, Pradhan had been unable to speak of late.
Pradhan, who led the People’s Movement 1990 as a top leader along with supreme commander of the Movement, Ganesh Man Singh, was cremated at Pashupati Aryaghat with state honour on Tuesday (September 23, 2014).
