The British Council has organised a series of events focused on ‘creativity’ starting from January 2 until 7. These projects are for people to develop original, unconventional and interesting ideas. ‘CONFLUX’ -a (free) Music and Dance Project for people of all ages and experiences will be conducted by two amazing artists from U.K, Marie Forbes & Mark Holub.

Free Music Workshop: January 2, 2013 by Mark Holub @ Kathmandu Jazz Conservatory (KJC)
All instrumentalists, artists of various genres are welcome to participate in Mark’s workshop which will explore improvisation as a tool to creating compositions, and the relationship between music and movement.
Time: 10:00 am – 1:00 pm OR 2:00 pm – 5:00 pm
(interested participants can choose either morning or afternoon time)
Free Dance Workshop: January 3, 2013 by Marie Forbes @ Moksh Auditorium
Its fun and energetic dance classes will use a variety of influences and also base on a theme/idea devised by the participants.

Rehearsals for Music & Dance Project:

Performance Concert: (Free Entrance) @City Hall (Rastriya Sabha Griha), Exhibition Road
This will be a concert combining both dancers and musicians into a form of expression combining different styles, movement and improvisation between the participants. The show will also feature performance by guest band Resonance which is led by popular vocalist/musician Subani Moktan.
