The resident doctors at Bir Hospital have been asked to resume their duties immediately by the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA).
A 35-member CIAA team arrived at the hospital to investigate the alleged irregularities there and requested the doctors to end their strike at the soonest as many of them are pursuing education under government’s scholarship.
Those reaching the hospital for service have been hit hardly because of the continued protest programs by Residential Doctors´ Association of the National Academy of Medical Sciences (NAMS) citing that the Bir Hospital itself has turned ´sick´.
The doctors have closed down all services except emergency service in the hospital.
MyRepublica has quoted co-attorney at CIAA Gita Prasad Timalsina as saying the commission will be forced to take action against them through the agency they came to study at the academy if they fail to resume medical services instantly.
