Sunday, September 25, 2011 – A Buddha Air plane has crashed today morning at Kotdanda of Lalitpur district while returning to Kathmandu from a mountain flight.

It has been learnt that 18 people on board have died while one person was rescued alive and is in critical condition.
According to Republica, there were at least 19 people on board at the time of the accident.
The plane had 16 passengers and 3 crew members. Among the passengers 14 were foreign tourists (10 Indian and 6 European) and and 2 were Nepali nationals.
The crash site is about 20km from Kathmandu. Locals, police and army personnel have been involved in rescue works, Nepalnews.com reports.
