Bato Ko Cinema (BKC) is street cinema that takes place throughout Kathmandu in public places. We show documentary films from Nepal and around the world for free to whoever wants to stop and watch. We use film to spark ideas, create discussion, and inspire people.
BKC uses film and video to tell stories, especially those that are often not covered in mainstream media. We place a strong value on putting the issues into a Nepali context and making the films accessible to a Nepali speaking audience through the use of subtitles (and, in the future, dubbing).
