Everest – Official Trailer
The film is based on the true events of the fatal 1996 Mount Everest expeditions detailed in Jon Krakeur’s best-selling book Into Thin Air: A Personal Account of the Mt. Everest Disaster. Everest was filmed over several months on location in Italy, Iceland, and Nepal and the crew was filming on the famous mountain itself when a fatal avalanche struck Mount Everest in April of last year. Unlike other disaster movies that rely solely on computer-generated effects, Everest made use of as many treacherous, icy locations as they safely could. Those extreme conditions certainly pay off in this first, visceral trailer. Everest opens in IMAX 3D on September 18.

Impact Nepal Earthquake Relief – ‘Making a Transitional Shelter’
Impact Nepal will distribute CGI-Sheet based Transitional Shelters to 650 households of Kalika Village in Sindhupalchowk. These shelters, costing around $150 each, will provide protection from the upcoming monsoon and is highly durable to last a few years. The locals were given training on how to build the shelter themselves. Impact Nepal also distributed tarps and blankets to everyone.This video demonstrates the building steps of these shelters.
