Golden opportunity for those wanting to further their studies in Australia! The Australian Embassy in Kathmandu announced ‘Vice Chancellor Meritorious Scholarship’ for deserving students from Nepal on Friday (July 31, 2015).
The scheme has a provision of granting two Nepali scholars, one undergraduateand another post graduate, 50 percent scholarship to study in the land down under.
Australian Ambassador to Nepal Glenn White said Australia is the 3rd most popular destination in the world when it came to studying abroad. He also expressed his appreciation towards the efforts and initiatives undertaken by Australian Universities to engage with Nepal, according to Republica.
Deakin University will be announcing the criteria for fellowship applications shortly. Global Reach, Nepal will be supporting Deakin University and will be providing assistance to the scholarship winner for Student Visa lodgement and other related formalities, red the statement issued by the embassy.
Established in 1974, Deakin is one of Australia’s largest universities with more than 50,000 students in four Victorian campuses across Melbourne, Geelong and Warrnambool.
