A soothing mother-daughter affair, singer Astha Tamang-Maskey has teamed up with her mom Susan Maskey for their rendition of ‘Bhailo’ as they offer their Tihar wishes to us.

She uploaded the video of the song on YouTube today (November 3, 2013) and described it as, “Nepal has many vibrant and colourful festivals and Tihar is one of them.

Bhailo is a traditional song – sung by various generations of Nepalese women during the night of Laxmi Puja. My grandmother passed “Bhailo” down to my mother, and now it’s been passed down to me :).
