One more new talent worth looking out for in the music biz is Rukman Limbu who recently made his debut with the album “Sandhi 2068- A musical Treaty”. The set covers folk and adhunik music and touches different subject matters from love, life to tragedy.
Lyrics for the album have been penned by a number of personalities: Tulasi Basnet, Surendra Rana, Netra Aryal, Harisharan Khadka (Dotel). On the other hand, B. B. Anuragi, Tara Prakash Limbu, Sonam Bazyoo Tamang, Ganesh Gurung, Paras Mukarun, and Raju Singh have created beautiful compositions for the set.
Although Limbu has released his first effort, he is not entirely new to the music scene. He has also participated in NTV reality shows Singing Star and Khoji Pratibha Ko season one. During his younger days, the Taplejung born singer learned classical music for three years from Gurudev Kamat and Aadesh Gurmachan.
Music videos for two of the songs from the set have been out already: “Nasunaiko Shikri” and “Timi Pari Ma Wari” for which he is receiving good feedback and even good airplay.
“Sandhi 2068- A Musical Treaty” was released under the banner of his own record label Rubusha Creative Works and Limbu is currently working for other artistes under the company. He is planning to come up with a collection album featured various artistes.
