A team of 13 American soldiers arrived in Sundrawati VDC of Dolakha district to support reconstruction of a quake-damaged school on Monday.
A total of 39 soldiers led by a Lieutenant Colonel of the American Army will be coordinating with the Nepal Army’s Ranabhim Battalion in Charikot of the district to rebuild the Kalika Higher Secondary School.
Of the 39 soldiers, 26 soldiers will arrive in the district headquarters Charikot in the second lot and work in three phases, according to the Ranabhim Battalion.
The visiting American army team will take shelter at the very quake-stricken school.
It has been learned that they are also likely to showcase their culture to the locals during their fortnight stay.
