On the occasion of International Women’s Day, event management and promotion company Kgarira organised “All Women Scooty Rally” on March 8, Thursday. In association with Care Nepal, the rally that passed through major areas of Kathmandu Valley. It started at 8am from Kathmandu Durbar Square to Bhaktapur Durbar Square and back.

Several famous female celebrities from media  personalities to Miss Nepals and runners up participated in the rally. Malina Joshi, Sahana Bajracharya, Sadichha Shrestha, Pallavi Dhakal, Haushala Thapa, and Malvika Subba were among others to join the programme.

Upon having organised the rally, Kgarira.com event co-ordinator Navaneeta Amatya shared, “We’re always striving to come up with events that are not only helpful in many ways but also entertaining at the same time. So this year, we thought of conducting our very first scooty rally that is non-political, fun and is dedicated towards the awareness of different issues related to women. ”

The event had the slogan “I AM POWERFUL” which was also displayed by the participants in their placards including other social issues regarding women. And it was concluded by special performances from Shreetara- an all women fusion band and Abhaya And The Steam Injuns – a rock band led by frontwoman Abhaya Subba.
