A man died after excessive alcohol take-in during a drinking competition that took place between two friends in Kalikot district.

According to RSS reports, Tanka Shahi, 26, of Syuna VDC-5 in the district died after drinking a large quantity of alcohol in course of the competition to decide who can consume the highest quantity of alcohol in one sitting.

Shahi and his friends bet to drink alcohol neat. A father of two children, Shahi died the same night after returning home heavily drunk, locals said.
